Our Story

As cliché as it sounds, Randy and Kelsey met at a bar in January of 2018 — Highlands Tap Room to be exact.

Randy was hanging out with a friend, and so was Kelsey. Out of nowhere, a creepo appeared and made Kelsey visibly uncomfortable because he wanted to see her tattoos. Randy decided to step in, told him to go away, and Kelsey bought Randy a shot of Jameson. Then Randy saw that Kelsey’s phone lock screen was a photo of Tash Sultana, an artist they both love, which ignited a conversation ending in an exchange of phone numbers.

Two weeks later, Randy took Kelsey on their first date to Gravely, a brewery in town. Randy quickly learned Kelsey detested most beer, so they moved to another local bar, The Pearl. Shortly after this first date on January 28, 2018, Kelsey and Randy became inseparable. After living together in three apartments, adopting two cats together (yes, they have four kitties now), buying a home, two trips to Disney World, and a lot of events in between, everyone pretty much thought they were already married.

The Proposal

Fast forward to June 20th, 2021. Both Randy and Kelsey were sitting in their living room that evening, when Randy asked Kelsey if she’d like to go on a drive.

Randy swerved the car a bit, and hit the brakes, to appear as if something was wrong with the car. He pulled off to the side of the road, and Kelsey got out of the car to help. Randy was there on one knee, and pointed out that they were parked in the same spot of their first date, where he fell in love with Kelsey.

He asked her to marry him. She said yes.

They can’t wait to celebrate their love with all of their closest friends and family at their witchy, Victorian, haunted wedding.
